Since I got my iPhone two years ago, I've been documenting life through Instagram. I love its simplicity and would say it is definitely my favorite social media platform. I even featured IG on our Christmas card this year!

Last year, I was introduced to the photo editing app, Pic-Tap-Go. I already had a handful of photography related that I had purchased but was totally committed as a pic-tap-goer after editing several photos. For $1.99 the ability to layer filters, crop, and share on IG as a full-size image (rather than in the square crop format), it's more than worth it.

Using Pic-Tap-Go has also allowed me to save better versions of my images because the filters are high quality and keep the original photo attributes intact better than IG. With over 1,000 images on my account, I realized last week that I needed to let some of these sweet and cherished images live on our walls, rather than in the image gallery on my phone.

Enter PostalPix.

PostalPix 1

I can't remember how I heard about this sweet little app but what I loved about it from the very beginning was that I could do everything from my phone-- registration, uploading, ordering. Bam. Photos sent off for printing.

This makes sense, right, because when the images are on your phone why drag them onto a computer to order them? Well, for many of the Instagram photo ordering companies, this is what they require. So.... hooray for convenience and great print options!

I ordered a smattering of 4x4 and 5x5 prints and they came super quick. 2 days maybe?

It was so fun to flip through all of them when they came. I'd never printed any of my IG images before and have only seen other peoples in print once. They are cute, colorful, grainy and oh so natural. They tell a totally different story than images from a formal portrait session and that's what excited me the most. They aren't perfect-- even my lopsided pictures of them aren't perfect! But they capture our lives and moments that would have been fleeting had we not pulled out our phones.

On of my favorite prints is a Waterlogue image collage that I made last week. Waterlogue is my new favorite app (post coming next!)-- it transforms your cell phone pics into beautiful water color paintings.

I can't believe how lovely the little 5x5 print is. Love it so much.

There are a million ways to display these bad boys for a unique wall display.

Regular frames with custom cut mats / / Modge Podged onto canvas / / Clipped onto a wire photo display

The list goes on!

Since I am currently using our wire photo clip for birthday cards and wedding invitation [reminders of happy, wonderful things worth celebrating!], I opted for a super DIY display with only one supply needed: Washi Tape [purchased at Target for $2].

It's a colorful display with a touch of random and a splash of "hey life, thanks for being awesome".

I love it.

Now, go download the PostalPix app and get to ordering!

in His love,
