Katie and Joe have been on an adventure that started (unbeknownst to them) in high school, grew into their story that played out during college at USF, carried them to Tampa where she said “yes!” and now they are in their final long distance chapter before their May wedding! Whew! Talk about meant to be!
Kayla is a photographer and she hand picked Highland Hammock State Park for their wedding ceremony location. The park hadn’t ever hosted a wedding before but my, was it gorgeous! The sky was so blue and the space surrounded by trees and open fields– truly amazing and one of the gifts of getting married during Florida’s winter.
Kayla and Joey are married now but I can’t share their gorgeous wedding without first sharing their sweet, fall engagement session!
These two made the trek to Tampa from Highlands County, Florida for their portraits and trusted me to pick their locations! I knew that cowboy boots would be involved and have me thinking about my days shooting in Kansas, so, I took them to Rivercrest Park for it’s boat dock and big, drapey trees, and the Seminole Heights Garden Center for it’s hedge-lined walkways, perfect for hand holding and snuggling.
Jess and Justin are dear friends of ours, and the privilege of illustrating their proposal, engagement and wedding this year was such a joy for me! I asked Jess to write her reflections on December 5th and her words are so beautiful I can’t help but start this blog with them. This is why I love my couples and why these stories are such a joy to tell.
Oh friends, this sweet, sweet wedding.
Yesterday was such a joy celebrating #teamramer and the uniting of Julie and Greg. They allowed Jesus to come forth in their times of prayer, vows and moments together and with their friends and family members. It was truly incredible!
When Megan e-mailed me about celebrating saying “yes!” to her high school sweetheart, Justin, I couldn’t have been more excited. Until she told me they wanted to come to Florida from Texas and set the stage at their favorite place on earth- Walt Disney World! As a former Disney Castmember and Princess, my heart fluttered. Until this session, I’d only shot on property once— at the Disney Boardwalk this spring which is actually how Megan found me (yay Insta hashtags!)
