One of the things I’m most thankful for here in Tampa is our church community and the opportunity to truly walk alongside and do life with so many loving, intentional people.

For the 2nd year in the row I had the privilege of making Easter portraits for my Aletheia Tampa family this morning and it was such a blessing! A reminder that community and accountability are two of the greatest gifts this side of heaven and that this is one of the best days of the year because we get to celebrate that He is risen!!

Friends! I’ve missed blogged land this past month! My comprehensive master’s exam was on Friday, February 6th and life leading up to that was full of textbooks, study sheets and sleep when applicable. As a creative “treat” following my exam, I did a casting call for a couple to model for a Valentines Day inspired styled shoot! I’m so glad Brittany applied.

I can safely say that photographing Tiffany and Jon’s proposal/engagement, wedding, baby announcement and now, maternity session all within the last year and a half has been such a joy and pleasure! The handiwork of God is so visible in their story and journey and creating images to help illustrate it is a privilege. Oh, and did I mention that these two are also great friends of ours and Tiffany is a talented photographer? Yep, all true.

Between Christmas and New Years I had the opportunity to zip home to St. Louis and Kansas City and SURPRISE my family with a little holiday visit! It was the best gift ever and it was so good to see my hometown, if only for a few days.

For a person who gets a little too much enjoyment out of organizing and planning, you’d think I’d be a little better at goal setting and jumping into countdowns head first. Instead, more often than not they overwhelm me and make me want to hide under the covers until it’s all over!
