Before J and I even made the leap to Florida, I had made a friend in Gabbie. We were placed in the same office together and followed each other’s summer adventures before life finally brought us together.
Having her as a friend and colleague has truly been of the best parts of this year. She is a fierce and passionate student affairs professional and is always up for indulging in a foodie adventure with me. This May she will graduate with her master’s degree and no doubt will go out and change the world. Seriously, she will.
Between Gabbie’s blog, twitter and frequent guest spots on a variety of social media channels, it was important to make some professional headshot portraits for her. It was so fun to capture everything– her laugh, her professionalism, and her joy just to name a few.
Her session took us on an adventure around the University of Tampa campus. The historic brick roads and ornate buildings nestled into the heart of the city served as the perfect setting for the New Jersey, now Florida, girl. Of course, the backdrop of an institution of higher education is also fitting…. 🙂
We ended our time on the steps of the historic Plant Museum- the current admissions office for the University of Tampa and the former home of one of Tampa’s most ornate hotels. Gabbie’s attire shifted to represent her new role as a student affairs professional– so very exciting!
Gabbie (aka Goo),
These pictures are incredibly bittersweet because I know all too soon you will be gone. I am so thankful to have met you this year and trust that our love of IG, food, travel, good quotes and education will keep us close at heart. My prayers will continue as you search out the next door to open.
Dwell in possibility, sweet friend. You have nothing but endless possibility in front of you!
