It’s hard to believe I’ve built a friendship with Kathleen, mostly through instagram. But after a few connections in Kansas City brought us together, it’s been so fun to share seasons of life with each other from afar! A couple of years ago I was able to take some anniversary pictures for she and Josh. Little did they know, the road to follow would be marked with loss and abundant faith for the family they were praying God would build. Meeting little miss Georgia was a testament to so many things! Her tiny size (less than 5lbs in these photos) has nothing on the strength she and her mommy and daddy have already shown! This little girl is LOVED and we are so glad she’s here, safe and sound!

Baby Georgia has join my 2020-2021 Milestone Portrait program, so lucky you (and me), we’ll get getting to see a lot more of this girl throughout her first year! Tummy time, gummy smiles, sitting up, clapping, and cake… it’s going to go fast, and I’m so honored to be along for the ride!

All my congratulations to Josh & Kathleen! She’s amazing!

Sharing Wesley Dean’s newborn photos feels awfully surreal after literally walking every single day of pregnancy with his mama! You see, Danielle and I are besties and it was a hot August day when I dropped a pregnancy test off to her, begging her to try one more time since mine had been positive just hours before. Sure enough, two lines for her as well!! With due dates just 6 day apart we walked through every moment together– the highs of Wesley’s gender reveal party and the low of having to cancel their shower due to Covid. The late night texts and the black Friday baby deals. It has been the sweetest season and I know Danielle and Scott are savoring every moment with this little guy!

So grateful for the Lord’s crazy perfect timing that these babes came just 24 hours apart. I nearly broke down the doors of the locked-down hospital to get to Danielle while she was in delivery… but the nurses went above and beyond to get us in recovery rooms next door to each other so we could sneak in before we were discharged!! Absolutely PRICELESS and a moment we won’t forget!!

Love you to the moon, Smith family!

This season has affected all of us in countless ways, and expectant/new parents certainly are showing strength and love in amazing ways as their hopes and expectations for this season are altered greatly. Despite cancelled baby showers, doctor’s appointments, visitor limitations– the list goes on, as a photographer and expectant Mama (due May 9th!) myself, I want to help all sweet babies joining the world amid Covid-19 deserve sweet, timeless images.

Don’t worry about trying to be a professional photographer in this moment. Let the sweet nurse at your bedside take your first family photo and pass off your phone to your partner when your babe is having those little foot prints made; I’ll take care of the rest!

For the months of April & May I am offering complimentary editing for delivering families (any/all/anywhere!) You are invited to submit up to 10 photos from labor, delivery, birth, recovery etc. for professional retouching & a gallery will be returned to you! **Google log-in required to access the form & upload your files. Email laborinthetimeofcorona@gmail.com with any questions/issues!

** Photographers have been generous to jump on board in just the last few hours to make sure May families can be served while I am having our 2nd baby girl! Amazing!! As such, your edits may be completed by a different person, but they will be amazing no less! **

For a peek at real, everyday families & the before and after you can expect of your images, scroll on! So much sweetness…. ahhhh!

All of these are cell phone images of the most precious moments that we just can’t get back, and it’s such an honor to be able to offer something so small to make sure these moments are beautifully preserved, especially during this unprecedented time.

Please complete this form to submit your images (google log-in required// email laborinthetimeofcorona@gmail.com with questions!), or share with a family you know! And from one Spring 2020 mama-to-be to another, congratulations! We can do this, and oh what stories we will have to tell 🙂

Also, because people have been asking! All editing up to 10 images is complimentary but there is an opportunity for families to donate directly when they submit. A portion of every donation will go directly to Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep, an organization that equips photographers like myself to serve families with timeless photography upon losing a baby. During this time, I am also editing for these families, and continue to be honored to do this work.

Should you be interested in donating, even if you are not submitting images for retouching, your generosity will go directly back to all these families. The link to donate is here: https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/laurafoote/ (Paypal account not required)

I absolutely loved meeting Megan, Ralph & Gabe for his South Tampa Newborn session! He was just over a week old, and they graciously invited me into their gorgeous Harbour Island apartment to snuggle their sweet boy. Megan and I have some mutual friends in the wedding industry world, but this was our first time meeting and I loved chatting about all the new mom things while we hung out in Gabe’s nursery.

Megan + Ralph, thank you so much for inviting me into such a sweet, sweet season. Gabe is absolutely precious and you all are such gentle and loving parents already! I can’t wait to watch him grow!

I’ve been so excited for Katie & Ryan’s Downtown Tampa Engagement session ever since they reached out to me about being part of their November 2020 wedding!

Katie was a bridesmaid in one of the first Tampa weddings I shot, over four years ago! She was joy-filled and so kind that day, and we kept in touch afterwards! In 2017 she even modeled for this gorgeous styled shoot (did she not make the most stunning bride?!)

Now she’s fallen for Ryan, a fun-loving lawyer who has brought a ton of laughter and adventure to her life! I am so excited for their Tampa Yacht Club wedding next year, and thrilled to share their stunning engagement session now! We started at Oxford Exchange, zipped over to Davis Island, and ended with sunset on Bayshore– all of my Downtown Tampa favorites!

The countdown to November 2020 is on! Sending you all so much love!

I was thrilled to return home to Kansas City in July for Kasey + Jeff’s Hobbs Building wedding! From getting ready at Kasey’s parent’s home, to their beautiful catholic mass, performed by Kasey’s childhood friend, it was such a personal day! And I was reunited with my KC dream team: Nellie of Nellie Sparkman Events, Ashlie of Blue Bouquet, and Bailey of Bailey Pianalto Photography, among other vendor friends I’ll link at the end of this post!

Kasey & Jeff call Colorado home, but it was clear that their family and friends bring the community to wherever they are. July 27th was defined with such calm & abundant love and joy! Also, fun fact: I didn’t get to meet these two until their wedding day, yet I immediately felt part of the crew and even knew a few of the bridesmaids from college! It’s such a small world!!

Kasey & Jeff, thank you so much for trusting me with your wedding day! You all are two of the kindest people I have ever met and I am so excited to see where your marriage takes you together! All my love, and so glad I get to hug you again at Linsey’s (Kasey’s sister) wedding in 2020!!
