It’s incredibly special that I’ve been able to visit the Wojo Family for now two Tampa at home newborn sessions for their sweet girls! Reese was born just days before my daughter, Mac, and I shot her session about a week post-partum! This week I was able to visit their new house to meet their new sweet girl, Brynn.
It is always a wonderful experience when I have the opportunity to document life for people I love. So walking alongside Annabeth & Chase through friendship, pregnancy and now, Sadie Grace’s arrival, has been the sweetest! This little girl came right on her due date and is already so very loved by her family & friend from Texas, to South Carolina, to Tampa! She and McCartney are almost exactly a year apart and I’ll be honest, holding her today made me wonder if Mac was really ever as small as she is?!
I met Janelle and David two years ago when they graciously modeled for my first styled shoot! They are the sweetest couple ever and working with them felt like we’d been longtime friends. So, when they found out they were expecting their first baby and contacted me, I was thrilled! Adele was the most precious little girl and I could not get over her “Hello” nursery, which was curated before the “other” Adele’s song had been released!
One of the things that has been so fun this year is how early my expecting families have been reaching out to book newborn portraits! I’ve “known” several of my 2016 babes since their first or early 2nd trimesters and Hunter is one such sweetie! It made it super special when I finally got to meet him, his mommy, daddy and fur brother in person!
This year we made their Christmas portraits on Bayshore Boulevard but it was a different kind of portrait session because we planned their color scheme, location and even the images themselves based on a grouping of gorgeous original paintings Ashlee was waiting on from the ever-talented Lindsay Letters. I love how it all came together– you can see the final grouping in Ashlee’s house at the end of this post!
I couldn’t believe it when my 2nd cousin Stacey reached out to see if I would be in Florida for the holidays and we quickly figured out that we’d all be staying in Anna Maria Island during the same week! This morning we met for a beach family session and it was such a joy to shoot! These are my 2nd and 3rd cousins from Illinois and Iowa and I haven’t seen them in several years. Childhood memories on our grandma/great grandma’s farm came flooding back today as the ocean lapped up on our feet. I’ll say it again– it’s crazy the amazing stories God writes!
