Kaylee & Seth hadn’t ever met me, but, Kaylee works for the same department at K-State that I used to and the legacy/relationships there run deep! I’m grateful that her bridesmaid and friend, the amazing Courtney, recommended me to her and several months later, I was back in The Little Apple for their K-State Wedding!

She and Seth are such kind people who truly love their friends and family. Even with over 200 people in attendance, they made their way to every person during their reception!

Sarah & Ryan met in school. High school that is! The last decade + has taken them on a journey of love, friendship, college, careers, and long distance. But this summer, they (according to their friends “finally!”) said I Do! Chesterfield, Missouri is their home so of course it made sense to celebrate there– a perfect St. Louis summertime wedding hosted in The Doubletree’s phenomenal tent & reception spaces! Sarah got ready at her family home, friends and family from all seasons of their lives gathered, and Imo’s pizza was delivered as a late night snack to keep the dance floor going! It was truly such a special day!

As you all know, #storieslovewrites is the hashtag I use for my weddings because it encompasses the incredible legacy that happens through marriages. It’s really amazing that two people can come together and literally build generations out of their love, isn’t it?! Needless to say, my old soul heart (that also studied Marriage & Family Therapy in College!) thrives in the details, the stories, the history & the memories that come forward on each wedding day. So, you can imagine my thrill when this year’s October bride, Madison, shared about a very special portrait she wanted me to make when I was home in KC  last week.

These two are clients that I prayed for. They brought hope, joy and grace to my business and their day was not one I will soon forget. From the sprawling estate of Quinney Oaks Plantation, the gorgeous florals from Moss & Magnolia, Ashley’s gorgeous J’adore Bridal gown and their KM cake, placed under a gorgeous crystal chandelier, not a detail of this 300 person soiree was left untouched! More importantly, the reverence these two have for their friends, family, and Lord, made for a day of heart-filled laughter, tears, hugs, and hand squeezes.

I’ve been counting down the days to be able to share Tim and Alexis’ wedding since they got engaged and we got their portraits all booked this spring! This couple simply radiates the joy of the lord. You might remember Alexis’ infectious smile from their summertime engagement session in Downtown Tampa? Well multiply that by 100 and that’s what she was like on their wedding day. Tim also smiled some of the biggest grins most of his closest friends and family members had ever seen.

When I left Brandon & Jennifer’s wedding consultation last summer, I couldn’t believe that I was just meeting them for the first time. They felt like old friends, that was for sure! At that meeting Jen was still giddy from Brandon’s sweet, lakeside proposal and Brandon had the wedding to-do list, ready to get plans in place for he & his bride’s day at The White Chapel.
