A hazy, warm Saturday in August marked the culmination of dreams, plans and visions of three Tampa Bay Wedding Industry Professionals. The idea? To tell a story, feature our city, bless a real-life married couple, and bring to life elements of our work and art in ways neither of us ever had before.
Heather and Tyler were my second Florida Mr + Mrs their wedding took me to a new corner of the state. I met Tyler the day-of and Heather just once before yet their family and friends embraced Ashley (my best friend and second shooter) and I like they’d known us forever.
Running a small business is a funny thing because even the most well intentioned efforts to be clear and transparent can be muddled and confusing. Though I really strive to run this business transparently, I take for granted that I know and direct the inner-workings of captured in His image and that new and prospective clients can’t possibly understand it all from the get-go. So, I’m going to start working to bring you behind the scenes more often to get a feel for the whats, whys and hows of this business!
Calyssa and Charlie have one such story that is covered with the handprints of God intertwined with twists and turns that only happen when two people follow His way obediently. From a happenstance meeting on the property where they wed to being a world away from one another during Calyssa’s time in Australia, these two have a love that has already experience a lot yet grow only deeper roots in their love of the Lord.
You’ve met Tiffany several times now, once for her headshot session when I first moved here and again when Jon staged a surprise proposal for her! They are an amazing couple and such dear friends of J and I. After turning down nearly 30 weddings when we decided to move to Florida and struggling to re-build my business clientele, it was such a blessing and compliment when Tiffany and Jon asked me to shoot their wedding.
